Input and Output (I/O) Configuration
Universal Analog and Discrete Inputs
The FloBoss S600+ features 16 universal multi-function input channels to accommodate signals from common field measurement hardware. These multi-purpose channels can be configured for multiple input types: Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTD), thermocouples (TC), pulse-frequency inputs and standard DC analog signals. High-accuracy acquisition of temperature, pressure, flow pulses and process analogue values is supported, suiting varied gas- and liquid-flow measurement applications.
HART Communications Interface
Dual HART master capability is embedded, offering 12 HART-capable channels that can connect and govern up to 50 HART-compatible field transmitters concurrently. Bidirectional digital communication with smart field instruments is implemented, allowing remote parameter retrieval, equipment diagnostics and on-the-fly configuration adjustments for HART-enabled devices.
Serial Communication Ports
Three independent EIA-422/RS-485 serial ports are fitted, supporting baud rates up to 38400 bps. Config600 Pro: Full-featured professional release unlocking every advanced S600+ capability: stream- and station-level totalisation, retrospective batch calculations, three-term PID control, flow balancing, flow scheduling and automatic proving sequence management. It also includes a Modbus configuration-file generator plus specialist editing utilities to tailor communication parameters for complex industrial network deployments.
All Config600 variants permit offline configuration editing, online parameter downloading, data-log review and device fault diagnostics, covering the complete operational-maintenance workflow for the flow computer.
